About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior MDG Architect to join our team, focusing on Business Partner, Material, and Finance data objects during the build & Test phase. In this key role, you will lead technical solutions, resolve complex issues, and ensure the performance and stability of our MDG implementation as we move toward a successful go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Solution Design: Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for Business Partner (Customer/Vendor/Supplier), Material, and Finance (e.g., GL Accounts, Cost Centres) master data objects. Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable technical designs. Provide expert guidance on MDG best practices, data modelling, workflow design, and security strategies.
  • Hands-on Development & Configuration: Design, configure, and develop complex business rules using BRF+ for data validation, derivation, and routing. Customize and enhance Web Dynpro ABAP components for MDG UI modifications, custom screens, and user experience improvements. Work with Fiori/UI5 for MDG user interfaces, dashboards, and analytics, including extension and integration. Configure and manage data replication frameworks (DRF) and other integration technologies (ALE, SOA).
  • Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, effectively communicating complex technical concepts, presenting solution designs, and managing expectations. Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and other architects to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Performance Optimization & Quality Assurance: Conduct performance tuning and optimization of MDG processes, workflows, and data replication. Ensure adherence to technical standards, best practices, and quality guidelines throughout the development lifecycle. Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documents, specifications, test plans, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 15+ years of extensive SAP experience, with a minimum of 8+ years dedicated to SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementations.
  • Role Level: Proven experience as a Senior MDG Architect - C2, leading solution architecture, technical governance, and delivery assurance on large-scale SAP projects.
  • Certifications: Mandatory: SAP MDG Certification. Highly Desirable: SAP S/4HANA certification. Good to Have: SAP BTP exposure, including extension, integration, or application services relevant to SAP MDG and S/4HANA landscapes.
  • Soft Skills: Quick Learner: Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills and adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies. Problem Solver: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Client-Facing Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to guide technical teams, foster collaboration, and drive consensus.
