- Proficient with IBM MQ on z/OS.
- Knowledge of how to configure and administer MQ in the z/OS platform.
- Experience with installation, patching, configuring, and problem determination for IBM MQ on z/OS.
- Experience and capability in dealing with vendors for problem and incident determination.
- Experience using SSL and managing it within the MQ environment.
- Proficient in data transfer to and from host systems.
- Experience configuring security, defining Queue Sharing Groups, and gathering and analysing statistics and accounting data for performance tuning.
- Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning of Message Queue applications.
- Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support and support out-of-hours changes as required.
