Requirements

  • Proficient with IBM MQ on z/OS.
  • Knowledge of how to configure and administer MQ in the z/OS platform.
  • Experience with installation, patching, configuring, and problem determination for IBM MQ on z/OS.
  • Experience and capability in dealing with vendors for problem and incident determination.
  • Experience using SSL and managing it within the MQ environment.
  • Proficient in data transfer to and from host systems.
  • Experience configuring security, defining Queue Sharing Groups, and gathering and analysing statistics and accounting data for performance tuning.
  • Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning of Message Queue applications.
  • Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support and support out-of-hours changes as required.

  • Perform installation, patching, configuration, and problem determination for IBM MQ on z/OS.
  • Work with vendors to resolve problem and incident issues.
  • Manage SSL within the MQ environment.
  • Support data transfer to and from host systems.
  • Configure security and Queue Sharing Groups.
  • Gather and analyse statistics and accounting data to support performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and performance tune Message Queue applications.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support and out-of-hours change support when required.
