Requirements

  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating secure, automated Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and cloud platform capabilities.
  • Strong experience with Google compute products and services.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and modern CI/CD systems such as Git Hub Actions, Harness, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with GCP Cloud Armor, GCP Networking, and embedding secure-by-design controls from design to runtime.
  • Experience implementing actionable observability, performance tuning, and automation to reduce toil.
  • Experience defining and operating against SLOs and SLIs.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Power Shell, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Hashi Corp Vault, Harness, and Backstage is desirable.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of infrastructure engineers, collaborate across teams, and mentor others.
  • Relevant GCP certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate secure, automated Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and platform capabilities.
  • Work with Google compute products and services, including Compute Engine and related VM and storage services.
  • Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD automation using Terraform, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and Harness.
  • Apply networking and security controls across GCP environments, including Cloud Armor and cloud networking.
  • Improve observability, performance, and automation to reduce operational toil.
  • Define and operate against SLOs and SLIs.
  • Script and automate tasks using Bash, Power Shell, or Python.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor infrastructure engineers while driving cross-team collaboration.
