Are you a driven, ambitious Recruiter who thrives on the "hunt" but takes immense pride in the "find"? Do you have a curiosity for how Public Sector organisations - specifically within the Higher Education space - navigate complex change?

After a standout 2025, Practicus is looking for a 360-Recruitment Consultant to lead our growth within the Public Sector. We are looking for a sophisticated business developer who can open doors and a meticulous delivery expert who can close them with precision.

The Role & Your Journey

As a 360-Consultant, you will own the entire process, from the first "cold" coffee with a C-Suite Exec, to the final placement follow-up. While you will eventually have support from our delivery function, we need a consultant who leads from the front, mastering both the high-level strategic sell and the high-touch candidate experience.

Once established, your next step will be to Client Engagement Partner. This is where your role becomes "180" and focused solely on bringing in Permanent and Interim opportunities. Fully supported by our best-in-class Delivery function, you will compete to become our top-Partner, where we have developed multiple £1m+ billers.

Your Impact

  • Strategic Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within Public Sector/Higher Education. You will be on the phone and in the room with Senior Leaders, identifying pain points before they become vacancies.
  • Full Lifecycle Delivery: Lead the recruitment process from start to finish. This includes taking deep, consultative client briefings, writing compelling briefs, and managing the end-to-end candidate journey.
  • High-Level Networking & Brand: Act as a true industry peer. You’ll attend events and contribute to thought leadership to raise your personal brand, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to ambitious executive leaders.
  • Champion Quality: Embrace our quality-led approach. We have an unwavering obsession with quality and improvement - we focus on finding the right fit, not just any candidate.

About You

  • Experience: 5+ years in a 360-recruitment role, ideally with exposure to Public Sector, Higher Education or Non-Profit organisations.
  • The "360" Mindset: You genuinely enjoy the BD process and the thrill of the win, but you are equally committed to the delivery - the screening, the qualifying, and the process management.
  • Presence: You can hold your own in a room with driven and ambitious executive leaders, offering insight and challenging their thinking rather than just agreeing.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Bullhorn or similar CRM systems. You understand how to run recruitment processes that are Human-led and AI-assisted.
  • Values: You are positive, upbeat, and authentic. You’re ready to go the extra mile for your clients and cheer on your team.
