We have an excellent opportunity for a Fire Engineer who is looking for a role with development and promotion opportunities.
We’re working with a specialist, international engineering consultancy trusted by major investors, developers and global occupiers to protect people, assets and reputations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Engineer seeking real development and progression within a business shaping change across the built environment.
As the Building Safety Act (BSA) reshapes the industry, this is a rare chance to step into a visible, influential role for a Fire Engineer who genuinely cares about doing things properly.
Be at the forefront of the Building Safety Act. Born out of systemic failure, the BSA represents a chance to reset industry standards. You’ll become a recognised BSA specialist, working client-side to audit, advise and challenge—shaping safer outcomes rather than producing repetitive fire strategies.
Work differently with proprietary technology. Our client has developed a unique in-house digital platform acting as the “golden thread” for BSA compliance, bringing together inspections, design reviews, project management and data in one place. You’ll use this technology to drive transparency, compliance and confidence.
Grow with the business. While supporting UK-wide projects, there’s scope for a senior hire to help establish the next regional hub (Manchester or Birmingham), alongside close collaboration with the London team and an expanding international operation.
The role: You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor on high-risk and high-profile projects, including:
- High-rise modular residential schemes and complex Building Safety Cases
- New builds approaching Gateway 3, including BSA and BSR engagement
- Direct collaboration with the Building Safety Regulator to resolve issues pragmatically
About you: You’ll be technically strong and culturally aligned, with:
- A degree in Fire Engineering, Building Sciences or similar (chartered or working towards)
- ~5+ years’ fire engineering experience, including site exposure
- Consulting background with experience in due diligence and peer reviews
- Strong knowledge of fire safety, external wall systems and remediation
- A genuine commitment to the Building Safety Act and improving industry culture
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and mentoring others
If you’re a Fire Engineer looking for more than “business as usual,” this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a changing industry.
