Practicus are supporting an innovative and growing manufacturer within the medical technology sector. Following significant investment in automated production equipment, they are looking for a Maintenance Technician to become the site's dedicated engineering specialist. This is a newly created role where you'll take ownership of maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement activities, whilst helping shape the maintenance function as the sole engineering resource on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise automated production equipment
- Develop and deliver PPM and TPM programmes
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Conduct PLC fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Support continuous improvement and CAPEX projects
- Promote site safety and engineering best practice
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years' engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience of reactive and preventative maintenance
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
