Practicus are supporting an innovative and growing manufacturer within the medical technology sector. Following significant investment in automated production equipment, they are looking for a Maintenance Technician to become the site's dedicated engineering specialist. This is a newly created role where you'll take ownership of maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement activities, whilst helping shape the maintenance function as the sole engineering resource on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise automated production equipment
  • Develop and deliver PPM and TPM programmes
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
  • Conduct PLC fault-finding and root cause analysis
  • Support continuous improvement and CAPEX projects
  • Promote site safety and engineering best practice

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years' engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience of reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • PLC fault-finding
  • Machinery installation and commissioning
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
