Are you ready to shape the workforce strategy of a complex enterprise IT organisation? We are partnering with a major client to find a dedicated expert to drive a critical transformation initiative.
The Challenge
Our client is preparing to do a strategy piece over the summer, but they need a clear picture of their current talent pool first. At present, they have clearly got a gap in their senior technical capability generally across a workforce of approximately 850 IT professionals. We need a focused leader to step in, own this project, and deliver a robust talent mapping baseline by September.
What You Will Do
- Build a clear, structured picture of technical proficiencies across the entire technology function.
- Pinpoint missing expertise to actively shape future hiring and internal training initiatives.
- Group similar jobs together and standardise what roles are called to improve transparency.
- Design tailored learning routes for critical positions to support strategic business goals.
- Successfully navigate a federated model to gain traction and build accountability.
- Confidently engage with senior leaders and argue the toss with the CIOs to agree on trade-offs.
- Plug into the corporate HR capability and develop L&D offers alongside existing teams.
What You Bring To The Table
- A strong background in evaluating technical talent and building competency frameworks at scale.
- Proven success doing this exact work within a large enterprise IT organisation.
- High EQ and a people sort of people disposition to handle sensitive subjects and internal politics smoothly.
- Practical experience utilising recognised assessment frameworks to turn complex data into clear actions.
The Details
- Rate: cΒ£800 per day, Inside IR35.
- Duration: 3 months initially, starting ASAP.
- Working Pattern: Full Time.
- Location: Hybrid working model requiring 50% office presence in Reading, Glasgow, or Perth.
