Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager – Estates, Facilities & Property
Location: London (Hybrid – ideally 3 days on site)

I am seeking an experienced and strategically minded Senior Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of Estates, Facilities, and Property services for a leading London based Education institution.
This is a pivotal role within a small Procurement team, where you will drive value for money procurement outcomes, enhance commercial performance, and contribute to key organisational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex tenders and procurement projects, particularly in the areas of construction, facilities management, and consultancy
- Negotiate and oversee contracts
- Support cost-saving and efficiency goals tied to a broader recovery programme
- Promote best practice in contract management across departments
- Ensure compliance with UK public procurement regulations and internal financial policies
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor across Estates and Facilities
- Represent the institution in sector-wide procurement forums
- Deputise for the Head of Procurement as and when required
About You:
You are a commercially astute, proactive procurement professional who thrives on building effective procurement strategies that balance compliance, risk management, and value delivery. You bring experience in Estates/Facilities procurement within complex organisations ideally public or education sector settings, and are confident handling end-to-end procurement in line with public sector regulations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Extensive procurement experience, particularly within Estates, FM, and Property-related categories
- Strong working knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts
- Familiarity with UK Public Procurement Regulations and IR35
- Track record of embedding procurement best practices and driving strategic change
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards)
Desirable:
- Experience working in higher education or similar public sector settings
- Familiarity with electronic procurement systems (e.g. Unit4 / Business World) is desirable
