Are you a hands-on Interim Head of Logistics & Fulfilment ready to lead a full-scale transformation in one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer brands?
Location: Northampton / Midlands Area - Hybrid, with travel to 3PL sites
Day Rate: £550 - 650 (Outside IR35)
Contract: Interim (6 Months) – Start ASAP
We’re partnering exclusively with a high-growth, sustainability-led challenger brand undergoing rapid scale (UK, US and beyond). This is a mission-critical interim role to redesign and deliver a next-generation fulfilment operation during a pivotal growth phase. This is not a BAU role — this is about rebuilding fulfilment from the ground up, at pace.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a full end-to-end 3PL tender process — from selection through to onboarding and go-live.
- Redesign the entire fulfilment model — including warehouse setup, packaging, automation, and operational workflows.
- Implement end-to-end systems integration across inventory, order management, and logistics platforms (Shopify, WMS, etc.).
- Build a fulfilment operation capable of scaling 5x current volumes (from ~180k to 900k monthly orders at peak).
- Drive best-in-class fulfilment metrics (e.g. >99.8% accuracy, >95% 24-hour dispatch SLA).
- Introduce robust inventory management processes and system integration to eliminate current visibility gaps.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, CX, Growth, Finance, and external partners to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in logistics / fulfilment leadership roles (interim or permanent)
- Proven experience leading 3PL tenders and full transitions
- Strong background in DTC / eCommerce / high-velocity outbound operations
- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain (WMS, OMS, inventory, carrier integrations)
- Experience implementing automation, barcoding, and warehouse optimisation
- Hands-on, delivery-focused — not afraid to roll sleeves up
- Able to operate at speed and under pressure in high-growth environments
- Confident influencing across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Able to lead without direct authority — driving outcomes across the business
- Clear communicator who can align multiple moving parts
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous scale-ups (not corporate-only backgrounds)
- Comfortable stepping into imperfect environments and fixing them fast
- Focused on execution, accountability, and results
