The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing and governing the overall ERP solution architecture—covering applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure—ensuring it meets business objectives, integrates effectively with existing systems, and supports long‑term scalability and a single source of truth. Working closely with programme leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders, you’ll guide design decisions, resolve architectural conflicts, and ensure vendor solutions meet required standards for security, cloud resilience, and service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end‑to‑end ERP solution architecture
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and business strategy
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions
- Design and govern integrations with systems such as CRM, HRIS/HCM, legacy platforms, and MDM
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices
- Act as design authority, managing design and data conflicts
- Review and approve technical deliverables (configurations, customisations, extensions)
- Embed security‑by‑design across application, data, and infrastructure layers
- Define and support role‑based access controls and permission models
- Challenge and assure ERP/SI vendors on cloud resilience, data protection, and incident response
- Integrate vendor assurance into programme governance and risk management
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Strong ERP architecture experience (ideally SAP S/4HANA)
- Deep understanding of application, data, and integration architecture in complex environments
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or similar architecture frameworks
- Ability to lead and influence senior technical and business stakeholders
- Experience managing vendors and holding them accountable for delivery and assurance
- Strong understanding of security principles, access control models, and cloud resilience
- Analytical, pragmatic, and confident challenging vendor solutions where required
Why Apply?
- High‑impact role on a strategic ERP transformation
- Genuine architecture ownership and influence
- Collaborative environment across business, IT, and vendors
- Contract opportunity with immediate relevance and visibility
