The Mission
In this high-impact role, you will be the technical heartbeat of our Finance directorate. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll take full ownership of designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated financial and management reporting solutions. This isn't just about running reports; it’s about technical leadership, setting the gold standard for data governance, and empowering our teams through expert coaching and mentorship.
What You’ll Achieve
- Lead End-to-End Delivery: From initial requirements to final adoption, you will drive the lifecycle of complex Workday solutions, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reporting packs.
- Architect Complex Logic: Build and maintain advanced calculated field libraries and KPI definitions, ensuring our data logic is performant and robust.
- Act as the Ultimate SME: Serve as the escalation point for the most complex reporting challenges, navigating security constraints and data quality hurdles with ease.
- Champion Strategic Analytics: Influence the broader strategy by aligning Workday insights with BI platforms like Power BI, ensuring a seamless data integration approach.
- Empower Others: Nurture a growing network of 'Reporting Champions' across the organisation through high-level training and knowledge sharing.
The Expertise You Bring
- Workday Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience in Workday reporting (including Composite reports) and a comprehensive understanding of Workday’s data structures.
- Technical Toolkit: Practical working knowledge of DAX and SQL coding, alongside experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Stakeholder Savvy: Proven ability to translate complex business needs into technically robust solutions while managing senior stakeholders effectively.
