An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a highly collaborative and commercially focused in-house legal team.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, this is a genuinely broad role offering exposure across commercial contracts, technology, data protection, strategic projects, and regulatory matters within a complex and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business, sit on project boards, advise on legal and commercial risk, and become a trusted business partner across multiple functions.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice across the organisation
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology contracts
- Support strategic business projects and represent legal on project boards
- Advise on GDPR, data protection, and data-sharing matters
- Advise on marketing consents, customer data usage, and ICO guidance
- Provide legal support on complaints, fraud, and verification matters
- Advise on consumer law, competition considerations, and data ethics
- Review contracts relating to events, surveys, digital products, and customer services
We’re looking for a qualified solicitor with strong in-house legal experience and the confidence to operate autonomously within a broad commercial role.
- Strong commercial contracts experience
- Excellent GDPR and data protection knowledge
- The ability to balance legal risk with practical business outcomes
- Experience working with cloud and technology agreements involving providers such as AWS, Microsoft, or Salesforce would be highly beneficial
