Are you the kind of person who loves bringing structure to chaos, transforming outdated processes into modern systems, and genuinely seeing the impact of your work across a business? This is not a “keep the lights on” HR systems role. This is a chance to help build an entire HR technology landscape from the ground up. An exciting, fast-growing healthcare organisation is embarking on a major digital transformation and is looking for an experienced HRIS Systems Specialist to support the implementation of MHR People First across a multi-site UK business.
You’ll join at a pivotal point in the programme - moving from heavily manual, spreadsheet-driven processes into a modern, cloud-based HR ecosystem covering:
- Core HR
- Payroll
- Workforce Management
- Talent & Learning
- Employee Self-Service
- Performance & Reporting
This is a genuinely high-impact role where your work will directly improve operational efficiency, workforce visibility, employee experience, and data accuracy across 80+ locations and 2,000+ workers.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, HR leadership, clinic managers, and implementation partners to help drive the programme through design, testing, migration, deployment, and post-go-live optimisation. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the end-to-end implementation of MHR People First
- Assisting with configuration, workflows, UAT testing, and deployment
- Leading data cleansing, validation, migration, and reconciliation activity
- Working with large, complex workforce datasets across multiple sites
- Supporting workforce management and rota configuration projects
- Helping standardise HR processes across the organisation
- Delivering user support, training, and adoption activity
- Creating process documentation and system guides
- Collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT, and operational stakeholders
- Supporting future phases including Talent, Learning, and Workforce Management rollouts
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who sits in that sweet spot between technical systems expertise and operational understanding. You don’t need to be a pure consultant or developer - but you do need to understand how HR systems work in the real world and how to bring people on the journey.
Essential Experience
- Experience supporting HRIS implementations or migrations
- Exposure to end-to-end HR system projects
- Strong data migration and data quality experience
- Understanding of HR and payroll processes
- Experience working in multi-site organisations
- Confidence working with large datasets and spreadsheets
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
- Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Highly Desirable
- Workforce management / rota implementation experience
- MHR People First experience
- HR/payroll systems knowledge
- Experience within healthcare, retail, hospitality, dental, or other operationally complex environments
- Change and transformation exposure
- HRIS reporting and analytics experience
Why This Role Stands Out
This organisation is growing rapidly through acquisition and modernisation, meaning there’s genuine pace, investment, and long-term opportunity. You’ll be joining a business that:
- Is replacing heavily manual HR processes with modern digital systems
- Operates across a large UK multi-site network
- Values innovation, continuous improvement, and autonomy
- Gives people real ownership and visibility
- Is investing heavily in transformation projects
There is also potential for longer-term progression into a future Business Systems Manager pathway for the right person.
The Culture
This is a collaborative, fast-moving environment where people are encouraged to:
- Challenge the status quo
- Think commercially
- Roll their sleeves up
- Work cross-functionally
- Drive real improvement
The team wants someone proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in an evolving transformation environment.
Location & Flexibility
Hybrid role, South East / Midlands preferred. Office travel only required a couple of times per month (Office is based in Basingstoke). Some travel to operational sites may be required.
Interested? If you’ve worked on HRIS implementations, enjoy solving process and data challenges, and want to play a major role in a large-scale transformation programme - we’d love to hear from you.
