Payroll Transformation Consultant | Global Payroll Programme | 12-Month Contract | Inside IR35

We're supporting a global organisation on a major European payroll transformation programme and are looking for an experienced

Payroll Transformation Consultant to lead delivery.

This is a senior, hands-on programme role focused on consolidating multiple payroll providers into a single global payroll platform across more than 10 European countries.

You'll own delivery from planning through to successful country-by-country implementation, working with senior HR, Finance and Tax stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition with zero disruption to employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead an end-to-end multi-country payroll transformation programme.
  • Manage the migration from multiple incumbent payroll providers to a single global solution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Tax and local country teams.
  • Identify and mitigate programme risks while driving delivery to agreed timelines.
  • Ensure business continuity and a smooth employee experience throughout the transformation.

We're looking for someone with

  • A proven track record delivering international payroll transformation programmes.
  • Experience implementing or consolidating global payroll solutions across multiple European countries.
  • Strong programme and stakeholder management skills with the gravitas to influence senior leaders.
  • A solid understanding of European payroll processes, governance and country-specific considerations.
  • Experience within a complex, highly regulated environment is advantageous.

  • UK-based, predominantly remote

  • Competitive day rate, dependent on experience
