We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre, located in Gatwick, Surrey. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

Hours
Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 16:30
Some flexibility with the working hours considered.

Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum - depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Substance Misuse Clinical Lead Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams
  • Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects
  • Support in group work delivery of clinical interventions

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered nurse – Mental Health or Adult Nurse
  • Prescribing qualification in SMSR
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Experience of working with opiate dependent patients
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
