About The Role
We have an exciting position for a Pharmacy Technician to join HMP Huntercombe, a Category C men's prison, located near Nuffield in Oxfordshire. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop the medicines management service, enhance your clinical practice and leadership skills.
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 07:45 - 17:30
- Saturday & Sunday: 08:30 - 16:30
This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday and have the opportunity to work weekends.
Salary
You’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,454 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Provide safe and secure medicines management and reconciliation service to the agreed standards.
- Manage prescriptions and interventions, providing face to face advice to patients.
- Provide continuity of care to patients upon discharge of care.
- Build strong relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
- Share information relating to medicines optimisations and drug regimes.
