We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Five Wells, a category C men's prison located in Wellingborough. Join the Recovery Team and empower those who wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol.
Hours: 0 hour contract - various shifts available
Bank Rate: £15.80

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering outstanding care to psychosocial patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual
- Manage a caseload of patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma etc.
- Work on a 1-1 basis with patients, carrying out assessments
- Deliver group sessions on overdose awareness, harm reduction etc.
- Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments
- Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cessation, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices

Our New Substance Misuse Recovery Worker Will:
- Have experience within substance misuse, ideally in a prison/secure environment, and ideally within a Recovery Worker/Practitioner role
- Have experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary framework, which includes housing, social care, health care and mental health pathways
- Have a flexible approach, and excellent communication skills
- Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
