About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the team at HMP New Hall, a female prison and young offenders institution (YOI) in Flockton, West Yorkshire. This is a varied environment across primary care, emergency response, wings, clinics, health promotion and more. Itβs a challenging yet rewarding and supportive environment. This is a clinical role requiring competence in Venepuncture, ECGs, NEWS2, etc.
Hours
Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Shifts include days and nights; typically one week of nights per month (3 shifts) and around 2 weekends per month.
Salary
Annual salary Β£25,557 β Β£29,723 per annum, depending on experience.

Legal & Vetting
Candidates must have legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, employment offers will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuity of care for all patients and deliver outstanding care at all times
- Carry out bloods, observations, ECGs etc.
- Work across all areas of care including inpatients, clinics, primary care and health promotion
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- Work holistically with patients and other healthcare staff (nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy, etc.)
- Deliver personalised, non-judgemental care based on patient feedback
- Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
- Experience within a healthcare setting β hospital, community or secure setting
- Clinical experience: bloods, observations, ECGs etc.
- Experience in primary care or inpatients is a bonus
- Non-judgemental and compassionate approach
