The role supports the existing teams for 10 hours a month at HMP Moorland. There is no on‐call or weekend work, allowing for a strong work‐life balance.

As part of a forward‐thinking, innovative health care team, you will work with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals, delivering high‐quality, best‐practice treatment. You will also be part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 58 prisons across the country. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, benefiting from a well‐developed appraisal system, in‐service training and funding for external clinical courses.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you\’ll be doing:

Perform advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender health‐care setting, who may have complex and/or chronic presentations.

Determine clinical diagnosis and treatment, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‐quality care.

QualificationsWhat we\’ll look for in you:

HCA Post‐registration Registered Podiatrist with proven experience in assessing and treating a range of conditions.

Experience in:

Diabetic patients

Wound management

MSK pathologies

Nail surgery

Self‐motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Up to £48,951 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
