The role supports the existing teams for 10 hours a month at HMP Moorland. There is no onâcall or weekend work, allowing for a strong workâlife balance.
As part of a forwardâthinking, innovative health care team, you will work with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals, delivering highâquality, bestâpractice treatment. You will also be part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 58 prisons across the country. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, benefiting from a wellâdeveloped appraisal system, inâservice training and funding for external clinical courses.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you\âll be doing:
Perform advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender healthâcare setting, who may have complex and/or chronic presentations.
Determine clinical diagnosis and treatment, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver highâquality care.
QualificationsWhat we\âll look for in you:
HCA Postâregistration Registered Podiatrist with proven experience in assessing and treating a range of conditions.
Experience in:
Diabetic patients
Wound management
MSK pathologies
Nail surgery
Selfâmotivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Benefits
Up to ÂŁ48,951 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
