We are looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Account to join our Practice Plus Group team! Practice Plus Group is the UK's leading independent provider of NHS services to patient in Secure Environments - prisons, immigration removal centres (IRCs) and non-custodial services, and Integrated Urgent Care - NHS 111, Out-of-Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Centres (CAS).

This is a 7 month Fixed Term Contract.

Hours:

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday: core office hours

Salary:

You'll recieve an annual salary up to Β£70,000 depending on expereince

Location:

Hybrid role with minimum 1 day per week in our Theale, Reading office.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the Interim Group Finance Director through the year end reporting cycle and support in other ad hoc projects as required
  • Responsible for the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements and support the wider team in the preparation of 8 set of subsidiary accounts
  • Provide support and be the key contact for the year end and audit process including accounting for pensions and impairment testing.
  • Maintain robust, independent control and governance framework including setting and ensuring adherence to all financial processes and policies to manage risk.

As our new Senior Financial Accountant you will:

  • Be an ACA qualified accountant with post qualification experience obtained in industry, preferably within Group finance functions.
  • Have strong technical skills and financial control knowledge
  • Experience of working within a large, multi-site organisations and preparation of consolidated IFRS accounts in a large company.
  • High level of competency in usual Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet targets and deadlines
