We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison located in the Risley area of Warrington. HMP Risley has an operational capacity of around 1100 inmates and is a 20 minute drive from Warrington and 30 minutes from Wigan.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, delivering outstanding care to patients.
Hours: This is a full-time role, averaging 37.5 hours per week, working between 20:30 and 07:30. Flexible shifts are available: either 7 nights on, 7 nights off, or 7 nights over a 2 week period (for example 4 on, 3 off, 3 on 4 off).
Salary: This is a full-time position with an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 per annum, depending on experience.

Notes: Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job:
- Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
- Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods, etc.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- Work holistically with patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy, etc.
- Deliver personalised, non-judgemental care, based on patient feedback
- Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
