About The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team!
Practice Plus Group is the UK’s leading independent provider of NHS services to patient in Secure Environments – prisons, immigration removal centres (IRCs) and non-custodial services, and Integrated Urgent Care - NHS 111, Out-of-Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Centres (CAS).
Hours
This is a full time role working 37.5 per week
Monday - Friday: core office hours
Salary
You’ll recieve an annual salary up to £42,800 depending on experience
Location
South / West Midlands (HMP Oakwood)
Hybrid home working with expected travel to sites / regions

What you'll be doing
As our new Assistant Finance Manager , some of your duties will include:
- Support the South finance team and wider HiJ finance team in driving enhanced business performance and decision making
- Supporting Senior Finance Manager and Finance Managers with Management accounting and reporting for a number of operating units including month-end accounting entries, preparation of financial and non-financial information and provision of detailed commentaries.
- Assisting operating Units with accurate forecasting.
- Supporting annual budgeting processes for the operating units.
- Providing management information, developing an understanding of activities and drivers.

As our new Assistant Finance Manager , you will:
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) / AAT qualified
- Strong Microsoft excel skills required
- A keen eye for detail
- Sensitive to understanding the demands placed on the organisation which works extensively with public sector bodies.
- Hands on experience of using an ERP accounting system (Unit4 Business World / Agresso and Vena an advantage)
