HMP Wormwood is a busy prison with a capacity for around 1,200 inmates. This is a physically demanding role that requires a lot of walking around the prison and heavy lifting.

Monday - Friday


0730 - 1540


Salary


This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £29,837 per annum.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.


What you'll be doing



  • Provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitors and contractors into and around the prison.

  • You will deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face. Deliver a tidy healthcare area, monitoring and ordering stock as necessary, paying attention to expiry dates and cost of equipment. Inspire excellence by dealing with patients and colleagues professionally.

  • Promote professionalism within the completion of your duties to ensure a tidy, safe environment is maintained across all healthcare areas.

  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, and build multi-disciplinary teams of clinical and non-clinical colleagues who support each other to do a great job.
