About the role
Oral Surgeon – Practice Plus Group, Emersons Green, Bristol (North Bristol) and Devizes.
Full‑time: 40 hours per week. We are currently hiring Oral Surgeons who are GDC registered and on the Specialist List or have an Associate Specialist role with extensive experience.
What you\’ll be doing
The post holder will assess, manage and treat patients referred from primary care in accordance with hospital and treatment centre protocols. They will provide care for NHS and private patients in an outpatient clinic and perform procedures in a theatre environment under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation (single drug, midazolam sedation). Accreditation in IV sedation or the willingness to train – delivering 20 supervised cases – is essential.
Responsibilities include participation in audit, research, service management, contribution to departmental meetings and bi‑monthly clinical governance meetings as agreed with the Medical Director.
What we\’ll look for in you
- GDC registered, either on the Specialist List or an Associate Specialist with evidence of extensive experience.
- Capable of delivering a variety of oral surgery procedures with local anaesthetic and experienced in IV sedation – ideally with independent certification or working toward it.
- Experience in requesting and interpreting small‑volume CBCTs; a level 2 certificate desirable.
