This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced perioperative practitioner to work across a range of surgical specialties whilst enjoying the flexibility of bank working. This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option—but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.

  • Monitoring stock levels and supporting stock control activities.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Supporting infection prevention and clinical governance initiatives.
  • Participating in teaching, supervision and departmental development activities.
  • Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary colleagues.

What we’ll look for in you

With your HCPC or NMC registration and degree in Operating Department Practice or equivalent professional qualification, you will also have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' UK post-qualification experience across Anaesthetics, Scrub and PACU/Recovery.
  • Competence across all perioperative areas and surgical specialties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent patient record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
