Housekeeper
Practice Plus Group, Plymouth.
We are now hiring a full-time Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team at our Practice Plus Group Hospital in Plymouth.
As part of the Housekeeping team you will maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness found throughout the hospital, Working in line with clearly defined standards which comply to national policies, and company procedures, the Housekeeper will be responsible for providing a high standard of cleaning to clinical and non-clinical areas within the hospital by maintaining date & time records of areas cleaned.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 05:00 -12:30pm
What you\’ll be doing
As the Housekeeper, you\’ll look to ensure that all areas of the hospital are cleaned in line with the requirements specified for that particular individual room. It will be a case of mopping floors, dusting and damp wiping all surfaces including walls, doors, windows, handles and switches, as well as internal glassed areas. You will need to uphold the cleanliness of toilet areas including; toilet pans, seats and wash basins.
Through training which will be provided, your housekeeping duties will see you operate varied machinery such as polish and buffer machines, vacuums and laundry machines
Not only will you look to make sure the wards and the hospital is clean, you will monitor and look for faulty equipment and other potential hazards, ensuring they are made safe or removed and the issue is quickly bright to the attention or the Housekeeping Manger.
What we\’ll look for in you
- You will have previously working as a Housekeeper – ideally within a healthcare/clinical setting.
- Good standard of spoken and written English. Computer literate is desirable.
- Able to carry out written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills
- A knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations
- Health and safety conscious, possess a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work.
