We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Dovegate, a category B men\’s prison located in Staffordshire.
Hours
The site currently offers 37.5 hours per week. 3 long days a week (645 am – 1815 pm) and (0745 am – 1815 pm on weekends and bank holidays). One shift finishes at 2015. 1 in 3 weekends required.
Salary
This position is full-time, with an annual salary up to £25,557 – £29,723 per annum depending on experience.

What you\’ll be doing
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery

Qualifications Required
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
