We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Lead to join team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B Prison located in Bicester, Oxford.

To provide leadership and support to colleagues working overnight, and will rotate onto 2 days per month for your own supervision and team building.

Hours

37.5 hours working full time nights, 7pm-7am, working 7 nights on followed by 7 days off with 1-2 day shifts a month, 7am-5pm. This will cover 2 weekends a month.

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £54,397 per annum- depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

What you'll be doing

  • Line management of 3, providing leadership and co-ordination for the team working with you throughout the night
  • Acting as the Senior Clinician throughout the shift being the single point of contact with HMPPS working in partnership to meet the health care needs of the patients within our care.
  • Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care within the prison that is safe, high quality and in line with CQC requirements. This will be achieved through adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with statutory responsibilities whilst driving excellence.
  • Inspire your team and the wider Integrated team to deliver high quality care and effective interventions to patients within the prison.
  • Promote best practice across both the Early Days in Custody and Unscheduled Care integrated pathways. Promote Best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning

Qualifications:

  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification- Registered Nurse (Adult/General)
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working in CQC or equivalent registered services such as HMIP
  • Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of clinical governance
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice
