The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We have an exciting opportunity for two General Practitioners to join our Primary Care team at HMP Foston Hall, a female closed prison based in Derby. HMP Foston Hall houses around 300 patients aged between 18-75 years of age.

Within this role you will be delivering out of hours reception clinics for the new intake of patients. This will involve prescribing same day medications, supporting acute illness and injury, as well as creating detox plans for alcohol and opiate misuse. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, particularly nursing, pharmacy and substance misuse teams.

Hours: Monday to Friday 5pm - 9pm, Saturday.

We are looking for 2 GPs to take this role on as a job share.

Salary: This position is part-time, you will receive an annual salary up to £ per annum FTE, depending on experience.

  • Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, providing clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and making timely decisions regarding future management.
  • Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with, having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required:

  • MBChB or MBBS
  • Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List

  • RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
