Primary Care Clinical Lead in Evesham

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join the Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a category A Prison located in Evesham, Worcestershire. HMP Long Lartin is a high security men\’s prison accommodating approximately 500 male prisoners.

Hours

37.5 hours a week, 8 am–4 pm.

Salary

£49 848 – £55 996, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

• Provide clinical leadership and management to registered nurses and care teams.
• Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients and ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
• Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
• Coach, line‑manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute to audits, governance and the development and review of clinical/non‑clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.

Qualifications & experience required

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current professional qualification (NMC)
• Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
• A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Existing line‑management experience and student nurse mentorship
• Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable.
