About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison housing around 1100 males located in the Risley area of Warrington. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. We are proud of the healthcare we deliver here, and want you to join us to continue improving our service!
Hours: This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. This role is mainly day shifts (including weekends) between 07:30 - 20:30, with 1 week of nights every 5 weeks.
Salary: This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 per annum - depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing
As our new Healthcare Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
- Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
- Deliver personalised, non-judgemental care, based on patient feedback
- Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
