Overview UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFEWe\’re looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our dedicated team at the Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality elective orthopaedic care in a modern, brand new, purpose-built hospital.Responsibilities Perform a wide range of elective orthopaedic procedures, including: Primary hip and knee replacementsKnee arthroscopy and carpal tunnel releaseJoint injections and aspirationsAdditional minor procedures based on your expertise
Deliver exceptional care across the patient pathway – preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperativeCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient careSupport and supervise junior clinical staffParticipate in audit, clinical governance, service improvement, and teachingEngage in continuing professional development and actively contribute to departmental meetings and strategic planningWhat we\\\’ll look for in you With your GMC Specialist Registration in Trauma and Orthopaedics, you will also have:Demonstrated high-volume experience (e.g., 250+ primary hip/knee replacements or 500+ arthroscopic procedures over 3 years)Strong clinical outcomes backed by NJR or equivalent dataExcellent theatre efficiency and patient care recordA collaborative team player with strong communication skillsCommitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and patient satisfactionFlexibility and dedication to meet productivity and service targetsWhat you can expect in return Competitive rate of payAn extensive range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefitsPrivate Pension with employer and employee contributionsFlexible shifts that enable you to work around other commitmentsThe support you need to grow in your role and continue your professional developmentHow to apply To apply for the role, contact our resourcing team.
