As a Practice Plus Group Consultant, you will have access to a wide variety of modern ophthalmic equipment and work in a well-structured and relaxed environment. We offer high quality day case treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team, you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard.
We are open to full-time or part-time applications; we are offering a competitive salary for full-time depending on experience. If you are not in the local area, we do also offer a generous relocation package.
What you’ll be doing
You will support the Ophthalmology Lead Consultant in developing Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, Portsmouth as a centre of excellence in Ophthalmology. Performing a range of ophthalmology day case procedures on NHS and private patients, and supervise nurses and allied healthcare professionals delivering eye care.
Please ensure that your CV used in applying includes details of what interested you in the role as well as describing relevant experience within the past 3 years i.e. number of cases performed and outcomes from national database (when relevant).
What we’ll look for in you
You will be/have:
- UK registered medical professional, with a listing on the Specialist GMC register
- UK registerable Medical Degree
- MRCOphth/FRCOphth/FRCS
- Wide training and experience in general ophthalmology
- Past record of academic achievement
