We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester. HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state of the art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates. HMP Fosse Way has a capacity of 1750.
The Primary Care Clinical Lead will be based within the healthcare department and be managing a team of 15 members of staff.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8am - 4pm
Salary: This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job:
- Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
- Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
- Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients.
- Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
- As a Clinical Lead you will coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
- Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse Adult – Current professional qualification (NMC).
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship.
