We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacist to join our fully staffed Pharmacy team at HMP Risley. HMP Risley is a category C Prison located in Warrington Cheshire. The prison houses around 1095 patients. Within this role you will be patient facing, dispensing, delivering clinical screening and structured medication reviews. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team including another pharmacist to ensure the delivery of high quality prison pharmaceutical service.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7.45am to 3.45pm

Salary: This is a bank role with an hourly salary of £29.54

What you’ll be doing:

As the Clinical Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service
  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensure a safe and modern medicines management service
  • Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Pharmacist - holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Vocational Master’s Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
  • Relevant post qualification
  • Although not essential, this would ideally suit an applicant with at least 1 year’s experience in a hospital setting.
