About The Role
Practice Plus Group is a trusted provider of urgent and out-of-hours healthcare services across the UK, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care beyond standard clinic hours. We believe in supporting our clinical teams with essential roles that help ensure patients receive timely and effective care in their homes.
As a Bank Driver, your role will play a vital part in the Out of Hours Service by ensuring clinicians are transported to patient homes safely and efficiently, which ensures our patients receive prompt care. The role will also involve assisting with administrative and reception duties when necessary.
This is a Bank role that offers flexibility to pick and choose your shifts, but you will be working overnight.
Ideally, you will also be available to work at short notice covering sickness and cancellations, and to work bank holidays.
Pay Rates
- £17.66 if you work between the hours of 0:00 – 07:59 on a week day
- £18.94 if you work between the hours 0:00 – 07:59 on a weekend
What you\’ll be doing
- Driving clinicians safely to and from patient homes.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety checks of the vehicle.
- Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues when required.
- Performing courtesy calls to patients to confirm arrival time and patient data.
- Communicating effectively with clinicians, patients, and the wider Out of Hours team.
- Assisting and supporting the clinicians during their visits when required.
- Supporting with administrative and reception duties if needed.
What we’ll look for in you
- Previous driving experience.
- A clean driving record with a valid UK drivers licence.
- Good map reading skills with knowledge of the local area.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, and flexibility to cover sickness or cancellations.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism.
