Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP / ANP) Needed
Are you working at an advanced level assessing and treating all ages of patients with undifferentiated conditions in General Practice? Would you like some flexibility in your work life? Have you thought of expanding your experience in general practice? If you answered yes to these then you might enjoy the variety of work that GP OOH offers.
In GP OOH we assess and treat patients who require urgent unscheduled intervention suitable for treatment by general practice clinicians when the GP surgeries are closed. Our referrals come from either 111, via a dedicated health care professional line used by paramedics and district nursing teams or from the AED or MIU. We currently offer a telephone consultation first system to offer high quality remote patient management via telephone and video technology where appropriate, but if a patient needs a face-to-face review or examination then this is offered at either of our bases at Worcester Royal Hospital or the Alexandra Hospital, as well as via home visits where appropriate.
As an ANP / ACP working in OOH, you will be treating patients face-to-face or via Telephone Triage with the flexibility to choose whether you would like to do this in one of our Primary Care Centres as a base shift, or at the patient’s own home as part of our home visiting shifts.
The OOH service is open from 6.30pm - 8am Monday - Friday, and 24 hours over the weekends, with various shifts on offer between these times. You will also have the flexibility to choose when you would like to work in order to fit in with your lifestyle.
We provide this high quality care via a skill mix of GPs and Advanced Nurse / Clinical and Paramedic Practitioners supported by an experienced operational team of shift Co-ordinators, Assistants, receptionists and drivers. We have access to basic day time GP notes via GP connect, summary care record, special notes and child protection information sharing. Both the lead nurse and medical lead work in a clinical capacity as well as a managerial capacity and are approachable and supportive. You will also be using our electronic prescribing system.
We are looking to add to our existing Self Employed workforce but can also offer Salaried and Bank employment options. Please note that any remote working, where applicable, will require use of your own IT equipment.
