We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to join the team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C male prison located on the outskirts of Lancaster. HMP Lancaster Farms offers a fast paced, unique rewarding environment to learn and develop. Our admin team are at the heart of the healthcare team, supporting all healthcare pathways (primary care, mental health and substance misuse), and delivering excellent customer service to patients.

Salary

This position is full time, working 37.5 hours per week and you'll receive an annual salary of £24,924 - £27,582 per annum - depending on experience.

Hours

For this full time role, you will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8am and 4pm.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As our new Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone, face to face and via email, delivering a high level service at all times
  • Working face to face with patients - you will be working on the reception hatch, booking patients in for appointments, answering queries etc
  • Provide a high quality admin service to the healthcare team
  • Coordinate clinics and chase referrals (internal and external)
  • Arrange and chase hospital appointments, prisoner release and transfers, and arrange appointments for follow on care
  • Scan paperwork, process applications, and collect paperwork from the wings
