The Brighton Station Health Centre is currently looking to recruit Weekend Patient Service Advisors / Administrators to join our GP Practice team in Brighton on a part-time basis. We operate community general practices on behalf of the NHS, offering patients the full range of services they would expect from a local GP. We work in partnership with the NHS to ensure that patients get quick and easy access to the care they need at the right time.
The position is a part-time role, offering circa 24 hours per week covering Saturday and Sunday. You would work within the hours of 7:45 amβ8:15 pm. We are looking for two Patient Services Advisors to join us in our practice based in the vibrant Brighton centre. The role is permanent and part-time.
You will be the first point of contact for all patients at the practice, including:
- Booking appointments using the system
- Greeting patients on arrival and notifying the appropriate clinician
- Observing patients in the waiting room and notifying staff if they need urgent care
- Receiving patient enquiries via email, phone, and in person, helping in a courteous manner
Some conversations may be of a delicate nature, so you will maintain confidentiality and show empathy. You will man the reception desk, ensuring it and the surrounding area is tidy and safe. You will accurately keep records and complete clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing, and process repeat prescriptions where necessary.
