We have an exciting opportunity for a Unscheduled Care Nurse o join our Unscheduled Care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in West London Car Parking Educational opportuities for development - Priscribing course - Minor illness course -Suturing Course Staff Mess - Canteen Mon - Fri Hours 37.5 hrs per week 7.20am -7.45pm 3/4 days per week covering weekends and bank holiday (ability to cover nights as and when needed i.e holiday cover), As a Unscheduled Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. Responsibilities

• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse/paramedic led service and prevent hospital admissions.
• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients.
• Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders.
• Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
• Expected to attend and respond to emergencies.
• Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Registered nurse Adult
• Current professional qualification (NMC)
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,086 per annum -depending on experience.
