We have an exciting opportunity for Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham, a category D Prison located in Kirkham, Preston. The prison has it s own Healthcare department where you will be based and the primary care team consists of a team of 10 HMP Kirkham is a capacity of 700 males.

  • Monday - Thursday 8am - 7pm
  • Friday - 8am - 4:30pm
  • Weekend - 8am - 12pm
  • 1 weekend in 4
  • Rotas done 2 months in advance, As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between Β£34,428 - Β£41,659 per annum depending on experience
