We are seeking an Industry Partnerships Coordinator to support and grow our digitally-enabled student-industry project programmes. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building practical pro-bono partnerships with a wide range of industry partners, and to create positive skills, career and life opportunities for thousands of aspiring young people from a range of leading UK Universities.

About the role

  • You will source, recruit and retain employers and professionals to participate in virtual Student-Industry project programmes.
  • Projects are win-win experiences for industry, students and Universities. Students work in project teams to solve current business challenges; they take part to gain work experience, skills and connections. Industry takes part to gain fresh perspectives, save time on research and to meet new student talent.
  • Projects can range from digital marketing to data analytics to sustainability to public policy, and industry partners can range from large multinationals to small community not-for-profits.
  • This role can be based anywhere in the UK. Flexible working environment between a London-based co-working space and virtual work from home arrangements.

Scope of the role

  • The Industry Partnership Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, recruiting and retaining hundreds of pro-bono industry project partners each year across a diverse range of sectors, geographies and programme types, ensuring strong outcomes for students, universities and industry partners.
  • The Industry Partnership Coordinator works within the UK Practera Programmes Team, processes and systems.
  • Seek out and engage employers and professionals through a variety of channels (virtual and in-person), developing and promoting collateral, personal networks etc.
  • Secure project briefs of the required types and number each month meeting sectoral, thematic, location, business diversity needs.
  • Quality assure briefs to enable student & client success; ensuring briefs are achievable, detailed, engaging and clear for students.
  • Ensure industry clients are set up for success; client onboarding, setting expectations, answering client questions etc.
  • Project administration, including ownership of the client inbox and accurate, up-to-date CRM management.
  • Supporting programme delivery, including providing industry partner support during live programmes and contributing to student–client workshops where required.
  • Coordinate and participate in industry events and conferences to showcase and represent Practera (occasional).
  • Building ongoing relationships with employers and channel partners.
  • Leverage social media, including LinkedIn, to actively engage with posts from partners and participants.
  • Contribute to Practera’s industry-facing voice by helping to shape and share content that highlights partner impact, showcases “what good looks like” for industry participation, and amplifies examples of how businesses benefit from student project teams.
  • Support planning, delivery, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns focused on industry partner acquisition.
  • Continuous improvement; monitor & evaluate the effectiveness of large volume industry recruitment, making data-driven recommendations and strategy improvements.

The ideal candidate

  • A friendly, energetic ‘people person’ with demonstrated ability to build excellent relationships/networks.
  • Fantastic organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, confidently managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss business needs and connect to defined solutions with a broad range of industry partners.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information, and able to adapt quickly as priorities shift during peak delivery periods.
  • Experience within a careers, graduate recruitment, BD, customer service, Higher Education or employer engagement role.
  • Proficient in designing and managing high volume digital led campaigns to meet business requirements incorporating digital marketing, CRM and project management tools is advantageous.
  • Confident using LinkedIn and other professional channels to engage business audiences, contribute to industry-facing conversations, and represent an organisation publicly in a credible and consistent way.
  • You are comfortable with remote and flexible work. You can be based in or out of London, but should ideally have the ability to commute to London once per week to meet with the team.
