Role Overview

Our Client is recruiting Transport Clerk to manage transport administration activities efficiently, ensuring we meet and exceed both customer and Company expectations. This role requires attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage traffic administration duties accurately and in line with legislation, operational instructions, and company policy
  • Support achievement of contractual KPIs, focusing on POD accuracy, fleet utilisation, and cost control
  • Complete all administrative and IT functions in accordance with company and client requirements
  • Produce reports as requested by contract supervisors or managers
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally, using initiative to resolve issues
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness, and tidiness in the workplace
  • Attend any required developmental training in line with the company’s commitment to the Investors in People Standard

Person Specification / Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills and experience in a fast‑paced transport office environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Client‑focused with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems is desirable
