Burner/Lancer - Temp to Perm - Days Monday to Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6pm-2am Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
We are recruiting for an experienced Burner/Lancer to work within a busy steelworks environment. This role involves carrying out hot-work burning and lancing operations to cut, break down and process steel materials safely and efficiently.
Key duties include operating oxy-fuel burning equipment, thermal lancing tools and other hot-work machinery, following burn plans, working to precise measurements, and maintaining strict safety standards at all times. Candidates must be confident working in high-temperature industrial conditions and be able to follow site procedures and PPE requirements without exception.
A strong work ethic, good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on night shifts are essential. Reliability and consistent timekeeping are critical due to the operational demands of the plant.
A full UK driving licence and own transport are required due to the location of the site.
