Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Plant Mechanic (Afternoon Shift - flexible start time). You will be required to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGVs and Trailers.
- Complete inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair complex faults
- Repair/replace engines, transmissions, brakes
- Attend breakdowns - phone diagnostics, roadside and customer sites
- Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection reports and parts records
- Communicate clearly on repair progress, timeframes and parts needed
- Follow all company safety procedures
Suitable candidates will have:
- 4+ years’ experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic
- IRTEC certification
- Welding/fabrication skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, LOLER and hooklift (RORO) equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willing to learn and develop
- Positive, proactive approach
- High attention to detail
- Team player with a desire to grow
