Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK\’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs work with our customers and have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

As our Engineering Team Leader , you will support the Engineering team here at Pro-Pak, reporting into the Engineering Manager on-site. This role will oversee daily management of our on-site Maintenance Engineers on shift.

Your role will be to support the growth and strengthen our Malton based Engineering team.

Key Accountabilities

Continuous improvement experience, using a range of tools and techniques

Safe systems of working, LOTO

Permit control across site

Working with an implemented PPM schedule alongside breakdown activity

Delivering all operational mechanical and electrical support on site

Finding efficiencies within the current workflow to increase output

Lead and motivate the team and record work completion through set KPI\’s

PPM and corrective work compliance

Working closely with the Engineering Manager to assist in delivering broader site KPI\’s

Manage external contractors on site out of hours.

Proven experience in leading and motivating a successful team.

Skills & Experience required:

Engineering-related qualification or relevant experience in an Engineering role within food manufacturing

Strong technical knowledge and an aptitude for both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

Working knowledge of BRC standards and customer codes of practice

Strong people management skills

Working knowledge and use of CMMS systems

Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment, using LEAN tools such as TMP

Knowledge and understanding of OEE.
