Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs work with our customers and have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals. As our Engineering Team Leader, you will support the Engineering team here at Pro-Pak, reporting into the Engineering Manager on-site. This role will oversee daily management of our on-site Maintenance Engineers on shift. Your role will be to support the growth and strengthen our Malton based Engineering team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Continuous improvement experience, using a range of tools and techniques.
- Safe systems of working, LOTO.
- Permit control across site.
- Working with an implemented PPM schedule alongside breakdown activity.
- Delivering all operational mechanical and electrical support on site.
- Finding efficiencies within the current workflow to increase output.
- Lead and motivate the team and record work completion through set KPI’s.
- PPM and corrective work compliance.
- Working closely with the Engineering Manager to assist in delivering broader site KPI’s.
- Manage external contractors on site out of hours.

Skills & Experience required:
- Engineering-related qualification or relevant experience in an Engineering role within food manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge and an aptitude for both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of BRC standards and customer codes of practice.
- Strong people management skills.
- Working knowledge and use of CMMS systems.
- Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment, using LEAN tools such as TMP.
- Knowledge and understanding of OEE.
