The Opportunity
We're on the lookout for a Spare Parts Interpreter to join our Perth team. This is a varied and hands‑on role sitting at our main branch. You'll be the go‑to person for identifying, sourcing, and supplying the right parts across our three core service areas:
- Fibreglass body materials and panels
- Transport refrigeration parts (including Thermo King, Carrier, and related brands)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpreting parts requirements from technicians, service advisors, and customers
- Sourcing and ordering parts from suppliers, managing lead times and backorders
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records
- Raising purchase orders and processing parts invoices
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and availability
- Keeping the parts department organised, clean, and efficient
- Receiving incoming stock deliveries, checking accuracy against purchase orders, and putting away stock correctly
- Picking up and delivering parts to customers, suppliers, or job sites as required
- Supporting the workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a parts interpreter, parts sales, or trade counter role (automotive, transport, refrigeration, or similar) is an advantage
- Mechanical aptitude and an ability to read parts manuals, catalogues, and diagrams
- Familiarity with trailer suspension, fibreglass body, or refrigeration parts is a bonus
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced workshop environment
- Drivers Licence
- Proficiency with parts management or ERP software (or willingness to learn)
