We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to support our operations by collecting and delivering survey and safety equipment to customer offices and construction sites. The role involves regional distribution, occasional long-distance travel, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver survey and safety equipment to customer offices and construction sites in a defined region
- Undertake occasional long-distance collections or deliveries as required
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles at all times
- Safely load and unload equipment using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions with clients
- Accurately complete delivery and collection documentation
- Use a PDA device to record deliveries, collections, and obtain customer signatures
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs
- Follow all health and safety regulations during transport, loading, and unloading
- Assist with general depot/yard duties when not driving
Skills & Experience Required
- Clean driving licence
- Previous experience in a delivery or driving role preferred
- Good knowledge of local and regional road networks
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage routes efficiently
- Comfortable using handheld devices (PDA) for tracking and record-keeping
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
