HGV Class 1 Driver (Self Employed) in Cumbernauld

PPS Logistics is looking for self‑employed Class 1 Drivers to join our growing team, operating from our Cumbernauld or Kilmarnock depot and delivering across Scotland. The role is Monday to Friday, offering a minimum of 25 hours per week. While primarily Class 1 work, the role may occasionally include Class 2 and 3.5 t runs depending on business needs.

Pay: £17.17 per hour

What the Role Involves:

• Collections & deliveries across Scotland
• Dropping off trailers for PMI and other operational needs
• Use of electronic POD and modern technology (full training provided)
• Ensuring secure loading and safe transportation

Requirements

• Full UK C+E licence (Class 1)
• 12 months Class 1 driving experience (less may be considered)
• Maximum of 6 points on licence (No DR, DG, CD, MS, TT, or TS endorsements)
• Good knowledge of driver hours & WTD regulations
• Willing to work on a self‑employed basis
• Strong customer service & communication skills
• Hardworking & motivated in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic English‑speaking skills
